anyone here meditate?

i’v dabbled around with this before. but i just started doing it regularly. boy, it can be hard to block out all those thoughts. you don’t realize how much you stress until you try to clear your mind. even just a few minutes is rewarding! it’s kind of a weird feeling sometimes though, almost a high. and i def. gotta set a timer, cuz once i start going i have no sense of time. i recommend it to everyone. your experiences?

    Sometimes I CANNOT let my mind just be. It’s always racing but I think it’s a good idea to start up again. It’s so relaxing a peaceful once you’re able to stop thinking!

    I meditate on scripture from the bible. Love that…
    Here’s a good one:
    “God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him” (1 Jn 4:16).

    i love to meditate when i make it happen. it has been such a peaceful exercise even with my crazy restless thoughts. i sat vipassana once (a ten day silent meditation retreat) and it was so moving. meditation and yoga are the 2 things i really want to build into my daily life. i always go to them when i want to rejuvenated or really connected to myself and a sense of spirituality. i tried a month ago to start meditating daily but couldn’t get the habit going… will try again soon.
